What does Rank Checker actually do?
You enter a domain, a list of keywords, a target location, and a language. We query Google's live SERP for each keyword and tell you the exact organic position where your domain appears on page 1 — plus which SERP features (AI Overview, People Also Ask, featured snippet, sitelinks, etc.) are present.
What's the difference between Live and Standard mode?
Live mode queries Google in real time — results come back in a few seconds and cost a bit more per keyword. Standard mode queues the task and returns within a few minutes; it's cheaper and better for bulk runs. We poll automatically every 45 seconds until all keywords finish.
How many keywords can I check in one run?
There's no hard cap, but the UI is optimised for 10–50 at a time. Larger runs in Standard mode are fine; Live mode is best kept under ~20 because all requests fan out in parallel.
Can I change the target country or language?
Yes — the Location and Language dropdowns cover every major market worldwide. Google returns meaningfully different results by locale, so pick the market you're actually trying to rank in.
What does the 'AI mentions' column mean?
Google's AI Overview (the generative answer at the top of some SERPs) sometimes cites specific sources. We scan the AI Overview block for your domain and flag a match, along with which URL was cited.
How accurate are the ranks?
Ranks are position-accurate at the moment of query, drawn from the same live SERP data feeds used by most commercial rank-tracking tools. Google can shuffle results within the hour, so rerun if something looks off.
Can I export results?
Yes — every completed run has a CSV export button with keyword, rank, URL, SERP features, and AI-mention columns. The full run is also stored under your account so you can revisit it later.
How much does a run cost?
A fraction of a cent per keyword in most cases — Live mode is a little more, Standard mode is cheaper. AI Overview–heavy SERPs cost slightly more than plain ones, so we bill the exact amount after the run completes rather than an estimate. It's deducted from your available funds (every new account starts with $100).
